What more leads for your business? Then get more Customer Reviews. SearchEngine Land, in a Local Consumer Review Survey 2014, reported that 88% of consumers trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations. People instinctively trust reviews, even those written by strangers, so encourage your customers to write reviews and leave feedback.

Bad Reviews

Don’t be discouraged by a single bad review. If you can, offer to resolve the customer’s issue. If that’s not possible, calmly explain your side of the story. Never berate a customer or belittle their opinion. Take ownership of your company’s part. If you get defensive, readers will side with the customer.

Automate Great Feedback

In addition to encouraging reviews on your own website, put a system in place that actively encourages customers to submit reviews to Google+, Yelp, Yahoo!, Angie’s List or whatever sites make sense for your products. One easy way to set this up is with an automated email reminder to customers who don’t post a review right away. Don’t nag, but a gentle reminder or request for a review is fine.
If you don’t take responsibility for what potential customer read on line, the 2% of customer that no one can please, will influence potential buyers for years to come. Take ownership today are start asking your customers to post a review.
