Generate Leads with LinkedIn
Use these 4 creative ways to generate leads with LinkedIn as an easy supplement to your other online marketing efforts, and see if they work for your business. We will assume you have a LinkedIn profile and know some of the basics.
If you have a basic profile, with company information and a work summary, you can get some good tips for growing your business from a Hubspot report on using LinkedIn for business. Here are some highlights:
Connect to Twitter
If you are on Twitter and have not connected the two accounts, do so. Doing this automatically produces a post to Twitter when you update your LinkedIn profile.
Posting to LinkedIn. You can share your blog posts, but you should do more. Using LinkedIn Posts you can create something original that is unique to LinkedIn and valuable to potential prospects. If you sell content marketing services, share a list of questions online entrepreneurs need to ask about their own content marketing efforts.
Include Work Samples
Improve your profile with work samples. This should be an obvious step for job seekers, but samples can help you get business as well. Add a white paper, slide show, or a PDF report that would seem relevant to a prospective customer.
The Power of ‘Groups’
Use Groups to contribute, start conversations and build name recognition. Are you active in any Groups for people who might use your services? If you help nonprofits raise money, join Groups for nonprofit marketing. Connect with people you encounter in those Groups.
As with any online marketing, the point is to stay active. If you post to one Group a week or create a LinkedIn Post once a month, LinkedIn probably won’t pay off.
