If you own a business or represent a brand, you need to know a lot about social media marketing. If you don’t have a clue how to do it yourself, you may want to get to know somebody who can build and maintain your brand’s good reputation on Facebook, Twitter and other popular social media sites.
Looking at the Numbers
According to the results of the 2014 Pew Research Internet Project, 71% of adults who go online have a Facebook account and most of them use it at least once a day. The Pew research revealed that a whopping 40% of all cell phone users regularly visit at least one social media network every day. The study goes on to state that 21% of adults use Pinterest, 22% use LinkedIn and 17% use Instagram. Our independent researcher found that more than half the folks who use Twitter mention products, businesses or services in their daily tweets. Those massive numbers could translate to tons of potential clients and customers for your company, if you knew how to reach them.
These days, most adults in America do at least some of their shopping online. If someone searches for your product or service and finds a link to your Facebook or Google+ page, chances are good they’ll click and visit. If that visitor lands on an attractive, interesting page, they’ll probably stay awhile to see what you offer. They may even become your fan, friend or follower. Reach out to your customer base and chances are good that they will reach back to you.
The right sort of social media marketing will put your brand where it will be noticed. Facebook, Google+, Blogger and Twitter business profiles that are regularly updated with relevant content three times a week will maintain your brand visibility. Interact with your ‘friends’ and fans and it won’t be long before you realize the impact social media has on your marketing campaigns.
